Affiliate disclosure

Last updated: 2026-11-05

This site is free to read. It is meant to earn money through affiliate links: when you buy a product after clicking one of our links, the seller may pay us a commission. The price you pay is the same.

None, today. We have not joined any affiliate program yet, so no link on this site earns us money. When we join one, we will name it here and the notice at the bottom of every page will change.

Product buttons say “Check price at” followed by the seller. They are marked rel="sponsored" in the page code, as search engines ask, so they are ready for the day they can earn a commission.

What money does not change

  • We do not accept payment to include, rank or review a product.
  • We do not accept free products in exchange for coverage.
  • A product that pays a higher commission does not get a better spot. Our picks follow the water problem, the certifications and the manufacturer specifications, as explained in How we research.

What we have not done

We have not lab-tested or used the products we write about. Our guides are built from public data, NSF/ANSI listings and manufacturer specifications. Each guide says what we checked and what we did not.

This disclosure follows the U.S. Federal Trade Commission guidance on endorsements and Canada’s Competition Act rules on misleading representations.
