Privacy policy

This site is run from Quebec, Canada. This policy follows Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and applies to all readers, wherever they live.

Who is responsible

The person in charge of protecting personal information is the site owner. Contact: Doffyaffiliate@gmail.com.

What we collect today

• No account, no newsletter, no comment form. We do not ask for your name or email.
• No tracking cookies. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies at this time.
• Server logs. Our host, Cloudflare, records technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the site and block attacks. Cloudflare may process this data outside Quebec. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.
• Fonts and images are served from our own site. Your browser does not contact Google or other third parties when you read a page.
• Unit preference. If you pick “US” or “Canada” units, your browser stores that choice on your device only. We never receive it.

If we add analytics later

If we start measuring visits (for example with Google Analytics), the tool will stay off until you agree through a consent banner, as Law 25 requires for technology that can identify or track you. This policy will be updated before that happens.

Affiliate links

When you click a link to a seller such as Amazon, you leave this site. The seller may set its own cookies to credit us with a commission. Its privacy policy applies from that point.

Your rights

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw a consent you gave. Write to Doffyaffiliate@gmail.com; we answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

Retention

We keep messages you send us for as long as needed to answer them, and no longer than 12 months.
